Expensive weekend

And it's not like I went on a trip or anything either. Just a day around town with my friends and it ended up costing me $267.

Brunch - $17
Costco - $100
Shopping - $150

I've just used up 1/3 of my projected monthly budget and we're only near mid month.

Costco trips are expensive! I went the other day for some vitamins my sister asked me to pick up for her and ended up buying some extra food 'cause it looks so yummy! I def didn't stick to my list...

Instead of thinking in terms of being only mid-month, think in terms of being one-third through! I'd say you're right on track. :-)

I'm with Jersey Mom on the expensive Costco trips. I have yet to see anyone spend under $100 on a trip. It's the store set-up! All you have to go is through 3 aisles and then you start remembering all the things you need in bulk, like Peanuts.

taste tests at Costco doesn't help either. can't resist those very tasty cheese and snacks.

We usually hunker down and spend the following weekend at home, doing yardwork or whatever...

It all evens out in the end :)

Jersey Mom - I hear ya. Everything looks so cheap and tempting since it's purchased in bulks but it really adds up in the end.

Jenn @ Paying Myself - I like the 1/3 thinking.

Investing Newbie - Peanuts and Ice Creams!

Ciawy - Taste testing are the best. But I despise the greedy ones that fight for a spot in line.

Money Reason - Yard work is the way to go. Productive, inexpensive, and great exercises. I will have to revisit that route once the rain stops.
